Wall Street wrapped up the final day of the Biden era with an all-out charge higher:
Dow Jones (^DJI): +0.8% on the day, leading a weekly gain of 3.7%. Not a bad farewell gift.
S&P 500 (^GSPC): +1.0% as bank earnings glory mixed with hints of interest-rate cuts.
Nasdaq (^IXIC): +1.5%, with Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla (TSLA) returning to the party after a snooze. 😴
Stocks put on their best weekly face since December. The bond market’s also playing along: The 10-year Treasury yield (^TNX) slipped to about 4.6%. Suddenly, the gloom of higher-for-longer rates has vanished like day-old confetti.
